Privacy Policy

ReplyGen ("the App") helps you generate smart reply suggestions for your conversations. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

Account data

• Email address — collected when you create an account or sign in with Google, used solely for authentication.
• Google account info (if you use Google Sign-In) — name, email, and profile picture as provided by Google. We do not store this beyond your session.

Usage data

• Scan count — we record how many times per month you use the scan feature. This is used only to enforce the free tier limit (50 scans/month) and to display your usage in the app.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Screen content — text captured from your screen is sent to our AI backend for processing and immediately discarded. It is never stored in any database, logged, or associated with your account.
• Message content — we do not retain any conversation text, contact names, phone numbers, or any other content from your messages.
• Location data — the App does not access or collect your location.

How Data Is Used

We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and usage count storage. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API — AI processing of screen text to generate reply suggestions. Text is sent to Anthropic's API and is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Text is not retained by Anthropic for training by default.
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication method. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

• Display over other apps — required to show the floating bubble overlay on your screen. Used only to display the UI; does not read screen content on its own.
• Screen capture — activated only when you explicitly tap the bubble. Used to take a single screenshot for OCR text extraction. The captured image is processed locally into text and immediately discarded; no image is ever stored or transmitted.

Data Storage & Security

• Account and usage data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Screen content is never written to disk or any database.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Usage counts are retained on a rolling monthly basis.
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings screen.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
